A creamy, flavor-packed sauce made with sunflower butter that tastes just like peanut sauce—rich, savory, and completely addictive! Perfect for Vietnamese spring rolls, lettuce wraps, satay, stir-fries, sesame noodles, and Asian salads.
Makes: 3/4 cup
Ingredients:
Dipping Sauce:
- 1/4 cup sunflower seed butter
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar or raw apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice or lime juice (or substitute with more vinegar)
- 2 tablespoons coconut aminos
- 2 tablespoons real maple syrup or honey (Keto use monk fruit or allulose to taste)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2-inch knob of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped (1 Tbsp)
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes or Sriracha sauce to taste (Spiciness)
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth.
- Balance the taste of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy to your preference. Add more of whichever it needs.
For a Dressing:
- If needed, add water to achieve your desired consistency.
- Cilantro and sunflower seeds for garnish
