  • Googly Eyes (See recipe below)

Halloween Googly Eyes
Ingredients: Makes 100 googly eyes

  • 1 cup powdered Allulose zero-calorie sugar
  • 3 1/2 tsps. water
  • 1/8 tsp. alcohol free almond or vanilla extract
  • 100 dairy-free and soy-free mini chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Mix the powdered sugar, water, and extract until you achieve a smooth consistency. The glaze will be thick.
  2. Pipe a dot of the sugar glaze twice the size of your chocolate chips onto parchment paper using a Ziplock bag with a small corner cut off or a decorating tip for more control.
  3. Insert a chocolate chip point side down. Move the chip off-center for a more pronounced googly eye effect.
  4. Allow to dry overnight before trying to move.
  5. Use on Halloween monster treats and more!

Directions for Monsters:

  1. Cut the apple into quarters.
  2. Lay the apple quarters down, and cut a 1-inch wedge in the middle of the peel side of each quarter. Do not cut all the way through, as you want each quarter to remain in one piece. It will look like a mouth.
  3. Cut the strawberries into slices lengthwise, so you have 8 pieces.
  4. Spread almond butter on the bottom of each mouth, inside the cutout.
  5. Then, place a strawberry inside the cutout to resemble a tongue sticking out.
  6. Poke 5 sunflower seeds or slivered almonds into each top edge of the cut-out apple to resemble teeth.
  7. Add googly eyes using a small amount of almond butter to attach them.
  8. Serve right away.
