3 Tbsp. real maple syrup or date syrup (*sugar-free: use a few drops of stevia to taste or 1/4 cup Allulose powder)
-
1/2 Tbsp. non-alcoholic vanilla extract
-
1/2 Tbsp. zest and 2-3 Tbsp. juice to taste from two mini mandarin oranges or one medium orange. Reserve extra zest for garnishing.

3 1/2 Tbsp. raw unsweetened cocoa powder
-
1/8 tsp. sea salt
Garnish and topping: 1 can of mandarins, *Dairy-Free whipped cream, orange zest, and cocoa powder or grated dark chocolate.

Blend the mashed avocado in a small food processor, scraping down the sides as needed.
-

-
Transfer the mousse to individual clear bowls and store them in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Candida Diet – substitute maple syrup with stevia to taste or allulose. Do not use premade cream topping; make your own. (See my Crème Anglaise recipe)
Note: Coconut is not a botanical nut; it is classified as a fruit, even though the Food and Drug Administration recognizes coconut as a tree nut. While allergic reactions to coconut have been documented, most people allergic to tree nuts can safely eat coconut.
